When our lead horse "Flash" got tendentious in March and was confinded to his stall, it became necessary to add a new member to our team... ah, herd.

Whiskey was gifted to us by Curtis & Dr. Pam Hess (our wonderful vet). He is a 20 year young award winning driving Haflinger that enjoyed his life from weanling till June 2^nd in Chardon, Ohio.  Whiskey calls our farm home now. 

Our new team member is getting settled into life with his new friends on the farm, which include three Tennessee Walkers, four barn cats, and two Golden Retrievers. Whiskey isn’t sure what to do with them, especially Rascal who insists on throwing his ball into his stall. Rascal can’t understand why Whiskey doesn’t roll it back to him!

I have been slowly integrating Whiskey into the herd and he is an amazingly fun guy to watch. He captured Jazz’s heart immediately and they have become good pasture friends. Boss isn’t too sure about the new guy and hasn’t been left in the pasture with Whiskey yet.   

Whiskey is full of personality, loves to trot everywhere in the pasture and tends to reserve walking for when no one is watching him. He poses for the camera and seems to take pleasure in running so I can capture good video of his movements.
